The Venue
Christine & Milou really wanted to find a venue that matched the simplicity and beauty of rural Alabama, and Tune Farm was just that. Situated on several acres of land in Faulkville, with an orchard, event barn, and beautiful historic brick home for getting ready, this is one of the most beautiful and versatile farm venues in the area. We love working at this venue and encourage you to check this space out (link below) for your rustic wedding!
Decor
I had so much fun setting up the decor for this wedding! All linens, centerpieces, glassware, and china were provided by the venue. This gave the inside of the event barn such an elegant feel, which highly complimented all of the natural floras and authenticity of this one of a kind barn space. I especially loved that at each place setting, there was a monogrammed cloth napkin with a touch of rosemary tied to it. So lovely and just the perfect touch!

The Ceremony
Christine & Milou walked down the aisle paired with their fathers, to the song Edelweiss which was made popular by the beloved film, The Sound of Music. They were joined together in marriage by their friend Amanda, who officiated their ceremony beautifully. Their vows were some of the sweetest and most heartfelt I've ever heard. It was a pleasure to witness their union along with 100 of their closest friends and family.

The Cake
In the Netherlands, where Milou is from, it is a tradition that the first thing a married couple does following the ceremony, is eat cake! I've got to say, I'm a big fan of this tradition!
The cake was prepared and designed by Sweet Thangs Cake (see link below) along with lots of flavored cupcakes that were enjoyed by everyone while accompanied by a champagne toast. It was simply devine!

Cocktail Hour
This was an incredible part of the day, and gave you the feeling that you were traveling back in time to the golden days of Woodstock. Everyone was out on the lawn enjoying games, craft beer, and the general splendor of one another's company. I almost felt bad announcing dinner, because I didn't want the fun of cocktail hour to end!

Catering
In keeping with their theme, the couple chose a local Barbecue caterer, Rusty's BBQ, for their buffet. When I tell you this is the best barbecue in Alabama, I really mean it. Rusty's staff is so professional and does such an amazing job delivering a beautiful display of their buffet in addition to wonderful service. They also include vegetarian BBQ options with their amazing meat options so that no guest is left out. We highly recommend them for your big day if you're considering BBQ.

The Reception
Following dinner, there was an amazing combination of party music, father daughter dances, excellent conversations, and more lawn games with festivities for everyone. I especially enjoyed the transition into European techno music by the DJ, and just how many guests got into it and a very real level. It was so much fun!

Cheese hour
Another fun part of our evening was passing out authentic dutch cheeses alongside Rusty's BBQ, while wearing...and I'm totally serious about this...orange capes from the Dutch World Cup! The cheese even had little Dutch flags on them, which was just about the cutest thing ever! I loved this and hope to have more couples in the future request something similar.
