The Venue

The Corley Mill House & Garden

"Sprawling, old pecan trees line the circular drive, welcoming bride, groom & guests to the charming gardens & statuary that encircle this elegant, fully restored, turn of the century, plantation style home. The view through an ivy covered arbor hints at the picturesque back grounds adorned with a hand crafted white gazebo, quaint water wheel, wrap around covered patios & perfectly manicured lawns all framed by a breath taking view of the surrounding countryside."

The Ceremony

Cat & Ell had originally planned to get married in the venue's garden, at the victorian gazebo. Due to a little rainfall, the ceremony was moved inside to the venue's ballroom. The aisle was adorned with dozens of lanterns and florals as the bridal party made their way up to the beautiful alter. The couple exchanged vows in front of a beautiful custom made cross with family and friends looking on. It was such a beautiful ceremony!

My Favorites

The whole day of set up was so enjoyable, primarily because I'm a huge fan of lanterns. The bride's family provided dozens of beautiful lanterns and candles earlier that morning, and I had the best time setting up the display that lined the aisle. The lanterns gave the ballroom such an amazingly romantic glow not only during the ceremony, but also during the reception as they made a giant circle lining the dance floor. It was like something out of a movie!
